No. 32 | Working and Breastfeeding: Veterinary Technology Instructor

This Week, mama Sam Geiling shares her experience as a working and breastfeeding mother as a college instructor in Hawaii. Her story is so positive and a great example that going back to work as a breastfeeding mother can be a great experience!

Thank you so much to Sam for joining the show today! I thought I’d share this sweet note from Sam that was sent to me after we recorded. The @firstlatch community on Instagram is truly amazing!

“I guess if I could add anything for other moms about my experience it would be to not feel guilty if things are going well. Overall, especially compared to other stories, my journey was pretty easy. Not to say it wasn't a lot of work and a lot of lost sleep. My son latched well and nursed right away (despite a 3+ out of 4 lip tie that was corrected at 4 months old), I've never had to worry about supply, I responded well to the pump and didn't have a lot of stress at work about pumping. I feel so fortunate to have surpassed my goals.  Again, I attribute this (in part) to you and the supportive group you've created. Huge thanks!”
